Girl’s Night Out! September 19th

Woo hoo!  The kids are back in school, the summer is over and the hurricane is gone!  Let’s celebrate with a Girl’s Night Out.  Seating is limited so be sure to book yourself in ahead of time.  Click this link to register!

Tuesday, September 19th at 7 pm is our first ever Girl’s Night Out!  Come try out new forms of art including Mixed Media, Art Journaling and Keepsake Art.  For just $10.00 you can come home with several different projects and lots of fun memories of night out with friends.  This is more than just paint and sip!  It’s art and sip and its lots of fun!

PLEASE NOTE:  MUST BE 21 TO PARTICIPATE IN THIS EVENT.  NO CHILDREN PLEASE!

All you need to bring is your beverages (wine, beer, non-alcoholic drink, etc.) and snacks, we will provide all the art supplies.  You may bring your own art journal or you can get one here at the studio for just $3.00 (or bring 3 canned goods for the local food pantry and get it for FREE!)

We will likely have more activities going on than you can complete in one night, but that just means we will have to do this event again.  Be sure to invite your friends!  It’s going to be so much fun!

 

Fundraiser – Storms don’t last forever!

HELP US GIVE BACK TO THE COMMUNITY! We are having a fundraiser for those impacted by the Hurricane on Monday, September 4th at 6 pm. All ages are welcome. We were very fortunate to make it through Hurricane Harvey with no damage at the studio. We would like to help those less fortunate by offering this class. All proceeds from this event will go to local relief efforts. So please come get creative AND help your local community.

As usual, please arrive 15 minutes early for check in. We will also be accepting donations of non perishable items such as canned foods, etc. at our location all month and those will be distributed to local Cypress and Houston community organizations who are working with flood victims.

Please help us spread the word about the event by liking and sharing this post with your friends and family. We love our community and are proud to help support everyone who has weathered the storm.

PLEASE NOTE: Because this event is a fundraiser, Groupons and Coupons will NOT be accepted. Also, we will not be providing store credit or reschedules for cancellations. All no shows will be considered donations and paid forward to the relief organizations we donate to.

Artistic Experiences Inc. is an independent art and sip studio which offers a creative outlet to the Cypress and Houston area. We are locally owned by a native Houstonian and are NOT a franchise.

All our efforts in this fundraiser will be channeled into local community organizations to directly help those in need.

Mixed Media – Something New & Different

Are you looking for something new and different to do with your friends and family?  How about trying mixed media?  Mixed media can take many forms, it is essentially using more than one art medium in your artwork.  At Artistic Experiences, we have just begun offering a series of wonderful new pieces to craft.  We have partnered with Jen DeDonato of Colorfly Studio to bring you some really unique canvas art classes.

Who should try mixed media art?  Well, it’s something everyone can do, but it is especially fun for those who like to create keepsakes.  We have had children and adults create their own masterpieces and each is beautiful and interesting in its own way.  If you are a scrapbooker or into arts and crafts, this is skill you definitely should acquire.  It’s so much fun and a great way to get creative.

Just like our paintings, you can take your artwork with you at the end of the class.  Each of our offerings is unique and has an uplifting message.  The best thing about this type of art is you can’t make mistakes.  Each piece is meant to be unique to the individual who made it.  You can either create it just as shown or you can add your own spin to the piece.  Either way, the piece is unique to you.

Another cool thing, it’s something the whole family can do.  We have had several family reunions (ages 3 to 70+) choose to do this form of art and each individual one is unique, but placed together makes a stunning display.  This is a great way to create unique gifts for special events as well.  Something different for Mother’s Day, Father’s Day, Graduation, Weddings & Birthdays – Artistic Experiences!What is mixed media? What is mixed media? It’s amazing

Wanna try something new? You should try creating mixed media art. It’s basically defined as art created using a variety of media. That means using more than one component. So that means, not just paint, not just pencil, not just ink. It means using different things: torn paper, cut paper, painted pages, paint, ink, glue, adhesive, decoupage, texture, fabric, stamps, printed paper, memorabilia, moments, and more.

No, you don’t have to use all those things, but you could if you wanted to. It’s all about pulling the things that speak to you into a form of art that communicates a message or a feeling. This form of art is freeing, there are NO RULES!

Artistic Experiences is offering two classes on paper crafting mixed media this month. Click here for a link to our calendar for more details. This form of art is a great way to preserve special family memories and momentos or to use tickets, brochures, etc. from a vacation or special event. This is especially fun for those who like to get creative, but are looking for a different way to express their art.

Private Parties/Events

Yes, we have wine and art parties at our studio that are open to the public AND private parties. We are also capable of bringing the party to your home or office! See the party packages below. To arrange for a private party, call us at (832) 653-2398 or email us at info@artisticexperiences.com.

Private parties are a great way to celebrate:

The great part about scheduling private parties at our location is that you don’t have to pay for the clean up! Your guests can come and have a great time, listening to music, chatting, sipping beverages and snacks, and creating something that will be a reminder of a fantastic night for years to come. 

Have a special theme for your event and want a corresponding painting? We can create a custom painting for your party for a flat fee of $50. 

For private parties, we require a credit card number to hold the reservation but it won’t be charged and your guests can pay individually online if you choose. Should you need to cancel your party, you must notify us at least 7 days in advance. If you cancel with less than 7 days notice, you will be charged for the cost of 6 guests (if you booked our front room) or 13 guests (if you booked our back room), NO EXCEPTIONS.

Private parties for adults at our studio:
We can accommodate wine and paint parties for up to 36 people (though we prefer to keep it to 24 people), and require a minimum of 6 people. Parties run between 2 to 3 hours, depending on the painting chosen for the event. We have two studios to choose from depending on the size of your group. For parties of 6-12 people, you can use our front room, and for parties 13-24 people or more, you can use our back room.
Price: $35 or $45 per person, depending on the painting you choose for the group.

Private parties for adults at your home or office:
We require a minimum of 10 people. Parties run between 2 to 3 hours, depending on the painting chosen for the event.
Price: $45 per person + traveling expenses (contact us to find out traveling expenses for your area)

Team building events and couples parties:
We have several team building painting plans, as well as fun group events for couples parties. Call us for more information!

Kids parties at our studio:
A great way for your guests to create their own party favors! Have a theme for your little one’s party? Let us know and we’ll create a painting to fit into your theme!

We can accommodate parties for up for 24 children, and require a minimum of 6 children. We hold parties for children turning 6 and up. The studio is yours for 2 hours, about an hour of which will be for painting and the other hour will be for cake/presents.
Price: $25 per child for the first 10 children, $20 for each additional child.

Private parties for kids at your home:
We require a minimum of 15 children.
Price: $30 per child + traveling expenses (contact us to find out traveling expenses for your area)

Mommy & Me parties:
A fun way for a group of moms and their kids to each create a masterpiece together!
We can accommodate parties for up to 24 painters, and require a minimum of 6 painters.
Price: $25 per pair (1 adult + 1 child creating a painting together)

Apartment Complexes:
Do you live in or manage an apartment complex that provides activities for its residents? We’d love to do an art party at your complex! Contact us for details on our reduced rates.
